Fred A. Kuglin is President and CEO of Kuglin, Inc. in Dallas, Texas, and focuses on strategy & technology-enabled supply chain consulting in the consumer products, automotive, media & entertainment, consumer electronics, health care and third party logistics industries. His current customers include a tier one automotive supplier, a third party logistics provider, a media & entertainment company, a tool & die engineering company and an electronics/controls manufacturer. Mr. Kuglin has direct global experience including the U.K., multiple EMEA countries, Japan, Singapore, Korea, Australia, New Zealand, Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay, Mexico and Venezuela. Mr. Kuglin holds a BS in Business Administration from the University of Dayton and an MBA in Finance from Indiana University. Mr. Kuglin was a Vice-President with Capgemini and a Partner with Ernst & Young prior to the acquisition by Capgemini. He focused on global supply chain transformation programs specializing in the mapping of supply chain operations with their associated enabling technologies to the five drivers of shareholder value. Mr. Kuglin’s responsibilities included the start-up of global practices combining the use of strategic alliances with account relationships to accelerate the creation of measurable business performance improvement solutions for clients. Mr. Kuglin worked for two years as Partner with AT&T Solutions, five years with EDS/AT Kearney (including two years as an Ex-Pat in Argentina), and nine years with Frito Lay. For Frito Lay, he was responsible for multi-site supply chain operations in the upper Midwest and the Southeast and systems development projects for Operations. For EDS/AT Kearney, Mr. Kuglin started up EDS Consulting Practices in High Tech, Food and Consumer Products, launching these practices with large consulting wins, one transitional outsourcing win and a $100million outsourcing deal co-led with EDS’ outsourcing organization. During the Ex-Pat assignment, Mr. Kuglin led the acquisition of a couple of South American companies and the start-up of consulting operations in Buenos Aires and Brazil. In addition, Mr. Kuglin led the merger of EDS and AT Kearney in Argentina and co-led the re-launch of AT Kearney in Brazil post-acquisition. Mr. Kuglin has co-authored Building, Leading, and Managing Strategic Alliances: How to Work Effectively and Profitably with Partner Companies book published by AMA in March 2002, co-authored The Supply Chain Network @ Internet Speed book published by AMA in October 2000 (Top 25 book on 1-800-CEO-READ list), and authored Customer-Centered Supply Chain Management - A Link by Link Guide book published by AMA in July 1998. Mr. Kuglin has been a frequent speaker at conferences. Mr. Kuglin is also an adjunct professor at Southern Methodist University, teaching MBA courses in Consulting. Mr. Kuglin is a past member of the Dallas Urban League Board of Directors, having served for several years on their Executive Committee and as Chairman of their Technology Committee. He was the CGE&Y Dallas Area Diversity Affinity Group Leader, is a Certified Member of American Society of Transportation & Logistics. He was also a United Way Volunteer, serving as Unit Chairperson for four agencies. Mr. Kuglin lives in Dallas, Texas with his wife and two children. |
